Karen International School is a 5-acre British IGCSE campus in Nairobi’s Karen suburb, master-planned to accommodate
1,000–1,200 students from Reception to Year 13. The design prioritizes sustainability through solar energy, rainwater
harvesting, and storm-water reuse, while maintaining safety with controlled access, clear circulation, and fully inclusive
facilities.
Contemporary African architecture organizes academic, arts, and sports precincts around shaded courtyards, fostering
strong spatial relationships and seamless indoor–outdoor learning. Aligned with modern pedagogy, flexible classrooms,
collaborative hubs, and technology-enabled spaces support inquiry-based, student-centred education within a secure,
inspiring environment.
